Cumberland Sweep + The Hopper Launch Event Assets

Client: Cumberland Community Improvement District

Designer: Lindsay Muncy

Art Direction: Emily Kurek

Creative Direction: Lindsay Zarczynski

As the Cumberland Community Improvement District (CCID) prepared to launch its first-of-its-kind autonomous shuttle pilot program, they faced two key challenges: raising awareness of the service and building public trust in autonomous transportation.

Brief: Help introduce The Hopper to the public through a fully integrated campaign, including PR strategy, marketing and event materials, ridership analytics, and high-impact launch events—all designed to generate buzz, maximize visibility, and position CCID as a leader in mobility and economic innovation.

My Role:

I designed a full suite of launch materials to support this groundbreaking initiative. The project began with a custom map design for The Hopper’s routes, inspired by the bold murals found throughout the Cumberland area.

I used the map look and feel in addition to the Cumberland Sweep branding to design all event and marketing collateral, including The Hopper logo, flyers, pop-up banners, survey cards, event name tags, and a simple landing page. For each asset, I designed initial solutions, then refined them based on feedback from my creative director, art director, and account team before presenting and finalizing the deliverables for the client.

This project won a 2023 Gold Davey Award for Integrated Campaign: Promotional & Branding
